This issue provides translations of long articles about art museums and art history which were authored by two important Western philosophers. Valery Proust Museum by Theodor W. Adorno presents the internal relations between art museums and artworks with philosophical elaborations by using the opinions of a German poet and a French poet. It is argued that the history of artworks is a process of ongoing deconstruction and retelling. Contemporary Politics of Art and Aesthetics by Jacques Rancière presumes the theory of the community of sense and analyzes the perceptional relations, featuring visibility and understandability between contemporary arts, society, politics, and aesthetics. It is an art museum that shapes the perceived coexistence and compatibility between these elements which share potential connections.
