The cultural strategy of art museums has never been a static standard. It is a “contemporary” concept, following the trends of art ecology. Meanwhile, it is a “local” concept, adapting to local art phenomena. Yet at the same time, it is not merely a here-and-now concept, but an open field of multi-directional symbiosis, which is determined by the essence of art museums — that is, art museums are essentially constructive and dialogical spaces. This issue focuses on the cultural strategy of art museums. It strives to examine the criticism and practice of art museums regarding the development and the dilemma they face in the current context.
