当你走进这个展厅,你所即将看见和经过的,是一位百岁画家的艺术人生之旅。
更为特别的意义是,这位老人是你所身处的这座近现代中国最早建立的国立美术学府中央美术学院、国立北平艺专的先生。这里有他一生魂牵梦绕的情感与记忆,有他无限留恋的画架与教室,有他永志难忘的先师与同学。
在几乎所有熟悉他的老友与学生的印象中,他很少言语,正如他的画作那样沉稳静穆;他的人生波澜不惊,却又充满复杂沉厚的况味。
如今在他一百岁这一年,他的学校为他举办这场特别的展览。让我们随着这场展览,一起走进他——戴泽先生的艺术与精神世界。
在20世纪中国美术史上,戴泽先生的名字已为众人知晓和仰慕。他师从徐悲鸿先生,作为中央美术学院的奠基人之一、20世纪中国第二代油画家代表人物,为新中国美术事业与文化传承做出了重要贡献。
中央美术学院主办的戴泽先生百岁艺术展,以庆祝与回顾戴泽先生作为美术家、美术教育家丰富厚重的艺术生涯为主题。这个展览在梳理戴泽先生跨越两个世纪的作品的基础上,贯穿了两条历史线索:首先是与戴泽先生休戚与共的美院校史,戴泽先生自北平艺专时期起即是美院成长发展的建设者和见证人,他的作品不仅在内容题材上反映出中央美院各个时期和几代美育教师的风貌,其一生致力的美术事业也成为美院教育体系不可分割的一部分,他的艺术风格代表着学院艺术的一个面向;其次,戴泽先生历经百年的艺术人生反映出20世纪以来中国现代艺术的演进道路,中西融合的艺术创新、关注人民的大众视角、反映时政的主题创作、乃至新世纪出现的时尚元素,这些在戴泽先生的作品中都一一被记录和体现,他的艺术可以被视作为一部跨越两个世纪的中国美术史鉴。
在这所百年美术学府中,一位艺术家的百岁展,应该展现哪些内容,如何呈现他的艺术人生,能为观者带来什么?这些问题在展览策划筹备过程中一直萦绕在我们的脑际。
我们力求通过这个展览呈现出三个方面的意涵:其一,突出展览作品展现戴泽先生百岁艺术人生的“全貌性”,全面地囊括戴泽先生从艺以来的各阶段有代表性的作品,清晰完整地展现其艺术发展、风格演变的脉络;其二,紧扣美术教育主题,围绕戴泽先生美术教育家的身份以及对中国美育事业的贡献,以其在执教生涯中的几个里程碑为节点设置展览板块,展现其人格品质与师者风范;其三,发掘呈现艺术家个人与时共进、与家国时代共鸣的特点,在展览中强化“亮点”,展示戴泽先生步履不停的艺术脚步,以及与新时代同频共振的时尚性,在老艺术家与青年观众之间建立起沟通的桥梁。
为了更好的营造这种氛围,我们在展场中设置了两处搭建的“意象”:一处是老美院校尉胡同校址U字楼的“门”,在第二、三单元的交界处,刚从中大毕业的戴泽,1946年应徐悲鸿之邀北上,任国立北平艺专助教,在这里开始了执教生涯。
另一处是“窗”的意象,两扇窗子分别位于展厅起首与尾声。从一面望进来,这副窗格是徐悲鸿先生最后一课时,美院教室里泥封的窗子,那时的戴泽还是青壮年,在合影照片中坐在底角,满眼青春;从另一面望出去,那副窗格是晚年戴泽在家中凭窗远望,一幕幕风景已凝固为画作,承载记录了他的晚年思绪、处世哲学和家乡记忆。
两扇窗,相隔半个多世纪,在展场中分隔而又贯通,正如一个人倏然而过的美好时光,和恍如隔世的人生记忆。那些意象,总会在某一刻交叠,在某一时空重逢。
为了更好展现这种人生境遇的起承转合,我们在策划过程中精细整理了戴泽先生的日记,并将日记摘选的文字,作为展览线索的导航,以戴泽先生第一人称的独语作为无声的旁白,结合其手稿、信札、照片等历史文献,引领观者走进他的人生风景,感受其个人史与家国史的深闳关联。于是,依据戴泽先生的人生步履,我们设置了“问学”“志业”“深研”“寄情”“悟思”五个单元板块。
从少年、青年到中年再到老年,很多人的人生阶段和相应体悟是相似的。这五个阶段单元,你处于哪个年龄阶段,也许你的体验和感受就更为强烈地共鸣于哪个单元的作品,共鸣于作为艺术家的戴泽先生的际遇与心绪。
在开篇的“问学”单元中,你将随时光隧道穿越到80年前,还在就读于重庆中央大学的戴泽,在徐悲鸿、吕斯百、黄显之、秦宣夫、李瑞年、费成武、陈之佛、傅抱石等名师教导下开启了漫漫艺术征程。他笔下美好的校园风景和熟谙的同学,那青葱的青春气息仿佛依然在我们身边弥漫。
来到“志业”单元,当你穿过国立北平艺专U字楼的校门,路过戴泽作为最年轻的会员协助老师徐悲鸿筹办“北平美术作家协会”时成立会合影的老照片,看到那些表现平民百姓生活的速写和水彩,就已经嗅到了北平胡同里的市井味道……而到了“深研”和“寄情”单元,那些辗转各地的写生,那些描绘历史主题的大幅作品,那些为繁花与生灵所作的油画肖像,则让我们看到了一个勤勉刻苦的中年画家孜孜以求的劲头,和他对于美好生活的眷恋。这些画作色彩厚重沉稳,人物造型准确含蓄,它们的存在也足以令人思考,带有个性色彩的自然主义和忠于客观的现实主义风格,是如何奇妙地兼容在这些作品中。
最后当你走进“悟思”单元,也就从人生旅程中秋季的绚烂多姿走进了冬日的深沉寂寥。伴随一生的老友们相继离开,使他不禁感怀人生冷暖和世间沧桑,他也开始重新找寻早年学画时那颗忠于自然的心。那时的他,可以将日常的细节画得朴实笃定而又饶有滋味,他的画作不以技巧繁复炫人,不以样式创新抢眼,却总是洋溢着生活的气息和真诚的神采。
展呈百岁艺格,轻述如画人生。面对这样一位永远忠于内心、甘于默默奉献的画家和美术教育家,我们今天该如何认识戴泽先生其人其艺?他为人老实厚道,所有的事都放在心里默默融化;同时在艺术上他又是一位典型的探索者和多面手,人物、风景、静物兼善,油画、水彩、彩墨、速写俱佳。当我们走进戴泽先生的如画人生,才真正懂得了以“轻”载“重”的力量,如同听到那些画作在面前轻轻耳语,让我们一起分享他的经历与感动。

戴泽先生简介

戴泽,1922年3月生,四川云阳人,中央美术学院教授,著名艺术家。
1942年考入国立中央大学艺术系,师从徐悲鸿、傅抱石、谢稚柳、黄显之、秦宣夫、吕斯百、陈之佛等先生。1946年7月毕业,自重庆随中央大学复校至南京。后应徐悲鸿之邀北上北平任教国立北平艺术专科学校,负责教具组。1948年被徐悲鸿正式聘为国立北平艺专讲师。中央美术学院成立后,担任讲师,负责基础课教学,为素描教研组成员,兼教具组管理。1950年随《中国艺术展览会》赴苏联交流。1959年,任教油画系“第一画室”(吴作人工作室)。1987年退休。
戴泽先生长期任教于中央美术学院油画系,为中国美术教育事业作出了杰出的贡献,也为中国美术事业培养了大批优秀人才,像黄永厚、靳尚谊、王沂东等著名艺术家。其代表作品有《和平签名》《农民小组会》《胜利的行列》《夏日树荫》《鸢尾花》《热带雨林》等。

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.
CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer
Article I
This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.
Article II
Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.
Article III
Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.
Article IV
Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.
Article V
During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
