10月25日，著名挪威陶瓷艺术家托比恩·卡瓦斯博（Tobjørn Kvasbø）的展览“力之丛——托比恩·卡瓦斯博的陶瓷艺术”在中央美术学院美术馆开幕。本次展览聚焦艺术家近十年的艺术创作和思考，具体呈现了23件以“管道”和“堆”为基本造型元素的作品。这是卡瓦斯博在中国的首次个人展览，也是其中国巡展的第一站。展览随后将于2023年春天在景德镇陶溪川美术馆展出。

挪威王国驻华大使馆大使白思娜在致辞中表示，托比恩·卡瓦斯博是一位非常重要的挪威陶瓷艺术家，本次展览是他艺术生涯中一个重要里程碑。陶瓷艺术是一种古老的艺术形式，可以上溯到人类文明的源头，无论是在东方，还是西方，人们都会对历史上工匠们和艺术家们创作出的精美绝伦的陶艺作品赞叹不已。与此同时，陶瓷艺术也是一种充满了现代创造力的艺术形式。文化交流是挪威与中国双边关系中的重要组成部分，它有助于构建起一座桥梁，增进两国与两国人民间的相互理解，期待未来有更多的学术领域的交流和合作。
“托比恩·卡瓦斯博住在一个非常古老的乡村，他家里有1750年的家具，这些家具非常坚固，直到现在还陪伴着他，给了他巨大的艺术启发，让他去思考坚持和毁坏之间的关系”。中央美术学院副院长邱志杰谈到，工艺的历史历来与艺术密不可分，可以说，一部艺术史前半部分主要是工艺美术史。卡瓦斯博的作品在如何将传统进行创造性转化、创新性继承方面带给了人们巨大启示。此次展出的管道系列作品，有时候很像大脑，上面甚至还有中国瓷器的“开片”。这些管道是身体大脑里面的血管，也是建筑和城市里的管道，可能一头是连向生命，一头是连向工业；一头连着大地，一头是连着国家，或者是把两个遥远的国家连接在一起。从托比恩·卡瓦斯博在挪威的经验中，可以看到一个富有创造力的个体，如何以积极的行动和勇敢的探索，开拓出一片全新的空间。
此次展览能够得以促成，也得到了景德镇陶瓷大学副校长吕品昌的大力支持，他也是这次展览特邀的学术顾问。因本人无法来到现场，特发送视频致词。吕品昌提到，托比恩从上世纪70年代开始从事陶瓷艺术，他始终相信黏土是充满着丰富感情色彩的、具有文化内涵和独特品质的材料，可以提供无限的机遇和可能。他努力通过并强化材料、技术和造型之间强有力的结合，通过材料和技术的经验以及他对空间的理解进行自由的表达和交流，他在制作和烧成过程中遇到过很多的阻力和挑战，使得托比恩更加懂得了无法控制的自然力量以及作为艺术家无法预判的能量。黏土是他的情感表达的化身，更是他思想的载体。托比恩的陶瓷艺术在可能与不可能之间最大限度地阐述了创作来源的文化背景，具有显著的北欧，特别是挪威特色。
艺术家托比恩•卡瓦斯博在视频致辞中表示，他从一个挪威小村庄走到央美美术馆，走过了一段很长的里程，长达到47年。在韦纳比格德，他的故乡，只住着300个居民，他的工作就是去讲述他们的生活、他们的文化，以及在这个非常高寒的山地气候之中，身体在工作和休息之间的律动，生命的衰老，年代的更迭等……他认为，一切有生命的东西都充满着液体，而一切生命，它都依靠着这些液体的分配与传输，因此，这些管道成为了生命最重要的前提之一。创作管道系列作品的灵感是来自人们身体内部的管道系统，他认为体液代表着生命，同时也代表着一种非永久性。同时，在使用黏土作为创作的主要材料时，也让他感受到了很多的阻力，了解到生命之中的很多能量是他无法控制的，就像内在的生命中有很多无法计算、无法知晓的一些元素。因此，这些作品寄托了他情感的释放，它也成为了一种真实的生命体验。

开幕式结束后，中央美术学院院长范迪安会见了挪威驻华大使白思娜一行，双方就中挪文化艺术的交流与合作进行交流。
范迪安院长向大使介绍了中央美术学院的发展历史、学科布局、师生规模、国际交流，尤其是与挪威的艺术院校和艺术机构友好往来与合作情况。他表示，中挪两国之间合作的许多艺术项目产生了重要影响，希望双方能够继续发挥各自优长，加强合作，推动多元文化的交融发展。百思娜大使表达了对中国优秀文化与艺术的热爱，她表示，中挪双方在文化艺术交流方面有着良好基础和广阔远景，通过开展一系列中挪文化交流活动，将继续深化两国友谊，加强文化互鉴。

艺术家简介
托比恩·卡瓦斯博（Torbjørn Kvasbø）生于1953年，是挪威最有国际知名度的艺术家之一。他毕业于卑尔根应用艺术学院 (KHiB)，现生活、工作于灵格布市（Ringebu）的维纳比格德（Venabygd）区域。
卡瓦斯博是挪威当代陶瓷艺术届最重要的人物之一，他的大型雕塑作品采用可塑性粘土和陶瓷技术，在国际上享有盛名。他曾在中国、韩国、意大利、法国、澳大利亚和美国等世界多国参加过大量展览，并在国际重要陶瓷艺术展览或比赛中获得重要奖项，还经常应邀在世界各地举办讲座和工作坊。他的作品被挪威的大多数艺术博物馆以及其它多国的重要艺术机构收藏。

CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.
CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer
Article I
This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.
Article II
Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.
Article III
Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.
Article IV
Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.
Article V
During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
