首届北京艺术与科技双年展 (BATB) 邀请来自全球50位著名艺术家、科学家、生态学家,以不同的方式回应我们这个危机与生机并存时代的突出症候。双年展以“合成生态” (Synthetic Ecology) 为题,旨在探讨“共生本体” (symbiontics),同时借由“合成” (synthetic) 这一隐喻,探寻重塑自然的可能性,检视后人类的生态想象,进而形塑一种新的本体论层面的平等观。本次主题质疑人类在生态体系中的主宰地位,正视万物的能动性的同时,重新审视生态体系中彼此复杂而紧密的牵连。“合成生态”由“激变的自然”(Radical Nature)、“缠绕的生命” (Entangled Life)、“交织的演化” (Interwoven Evolution) 三个部分构成,将思索的视界从人/社会推至万物/宇宙,在行星视角与行星尺度 (planetary scale) 中探讨未来演化的可能性。

媒体艺术虽然早在上个世纪中叶就已出现,但真正开始广泛绽放还是到本世纪。随着信息科技的高速进步,形成了社会发展层面的影响。技术带来了更多可能性以及创新的艺术形式,媒体化生活使艺术家有了更丰富的内容素材,也更有了数字科技加持的表现力。本次展览以《生态融合》为主题,继前两届《技术伦理》、《后生命》之后进一步在探究不同环境、不同领域,不同类别的相交性。特别是人与机器,人与生物,人与非人等的交错或是融合。艺术家通过多形态的数字媒体艺术作品描绘了对“虚拟与现实”、“科技与自然”、“表象与本质”之间关系的关注。也试图从某种角度展示自然、环境与人的复杂关系趋势,探究自然生态与人工造型和谐共生的生态逻辑。人们在感受数字、空间、时间、与环境生态紧密交织的媒体艺术中,是否与某种未来更为接近。

展览以“生”为主题,自甲骨文草木萌发的字义为启始,连接生命、生态、生活、生产的不同图景。展览以生命设计、超物体、合成生物材料、后人类、第三自然、生态资本、响应式环境、气候设计、复原力等关键词为线索,涵盖来自15个国家及地区的28位艺术家,包括哈佛大学、麻省理工学院、荷兰建筑设计博物馆等涉及45个物种的32件艺术设计作品,尝试通过全新视角探求“生”活的变迁、“生”境的变局、“生”态的变革以及“生”存的变机,以期从中国生态语境和文化背景出发,探讨生态危机背后具有远见性的新机遇,呼唤一场跨文化、跨时空、跨领域的国际生态对话。

新时代的艺术设计教育呈现多元化发展的路径,中央美术学院汇集78所国内艺术设计院校、27所国外艺术设计院校、40余位院长对艺术设计教育的审慎思考,300余个精彩纷呈的艺术设计课程与项目、600余份课程作品、100余份国内外优质毕业作品,值中央美术学院105周年华诞之际,以「未·未来」“瞰·见”国际艺术设计院校教学成果展为合作平台,在党的二十大报告总结过去五年的工作和新时代十年的伟大变革,擘画未来五年乃至更长时期发展的宏伟蓝图的语境下,共同应对科技进步、时移世变为艺术设计教育带来的新挑战;共同回应联合国教科文组织提出2050年“教育的未来”的新倡议;共同思考知识体系不等同教育格局的新命题;共同拓展培养坚定意志、使命担当创新艺术设计人才的新目标;共同探索新时代艺术设计教育交叉、融合、创新的新举措;共同把握以设计关注环境人文及人与自然关系的新机遇;共同研判艺术设计教育未来有效发展的新趋势;共同构建资源公平、智慧共享、可持续的艺术设计教育新格局。

不断变化的未来,既是我们共同面临的复杂挑战,也会孕育潜在的创新机遇。生态环境的变化,真实与虚拟界限的模糊,人口与经济的流动,制造技术与方式的演变。在细致入微的观察、干预和展望的过程中,跨领域的创新设计在行动与建设之间,连结商业、技术、文化与环境,成为创造未来图景的起点。


「未·未来」设计驱动创新机遇文献展由中央美术学院设计学院创新设计方向策划,从环境共存、教育无处不在、数字平行世界、人工智能协同、大健康预防、步进的制造、文化空间重构与太空日常化等八个创新机遇为原点,以「创新几何」视觉模型为形式,展出近五年来的创新设计课题与青年设计师作品,体现设计如何融合技术、人文、商业与趋势等要素,创造性地应对跨领域的复杂问题,形成具有前瞻性的解决方案或捕捉潜在的创新机遇,从而探索人们未来的生活方式。

面对复杂性和不确定性的未来,如何借鉴东西方城市发展凝聚的常识、知识和智慧,为未来城市的动机反思,观念进化,原则改良,要素融合,概念迭代,策略统筹,价值权衡和变数预测提供思想和思维的启蒙?这是一项关乎人类命运的世界性课题。

“未来城市文献展”包涵“问题与课题”、“理想与思想”、“观念与概念”、“生命与生态”、“空间与建筑”以及“工具与人才”六个专题,探究未来城市发展的方位、方向和方法,研议未来城市人才的原型、类型与模型。

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.

CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer

Article I

This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.

Article II

Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.

Article III

Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.

Article IV

Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.

Article V

During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
