“团体作为方法:中央美术学院艺术团体研究与抽样展”盛夏开幕

7月12日下午,“团体作为方法:中央美术学院艺术团体研究与抽样展”于中央美术学院美术馆3层展厅开幕。此次展览是中央美院美术馆学术团队对于中央美院艺术团体进行研究的阶段性成果展示。展览分为文献区和抽样区两个部分,其中文献区主要包括自1918年以来中央美术学院历史上90个艺术团体文献资料,并从其中选取了37个艺术团体进行文献的实物展示;抽样区挑选了跨越百年的三个艺术团体,分别是阿博洛学会、四方工作室和N12,对他们进行文献与作品的进一步展示。

中央美术学院美术馆馆长张子康、科研处处长于洋、人文学院党总支书记于润生、研究生院直属党支部书记兼教学部主任葛玉君、美术馆副馆长王春辰、人文学院教授曹庆晖;UCCA集团艺术总监、UCCA尤伦斯当代艺术中心副馆长尤洋;美术史研究学者沈宁。以及中央美术学院学生摄影协会、女画家的世界、四方工作室、绿校、N12、川三工作室、空白诗社、掉队、AHA Union吖哈组合、YCEA青年实验艺术小组、新青年艺术沙龙、阳台小组、无人生还、SO艺术小组、“反正”艺术小组、π艺术小组、冷墨、BUMP爬坡小组、某集体ART+TECH、桌面研究艺术小组、4aC Design、折叠艺术小组、TTTB Artist-Run Space小组、想想工作室、宇宙外宇宙Beyond The Cosmic Horizon等多个中央美术学院艺术团体代表出席开幕式。开幕式由中央美术学院美术馆副馆长高高主持。


中央美术学院美术馆馆长张子康致辞

中央美术学院美术馆馆长张子康在致辞中首先对前来参加开幕活动的艺术团体的艺术家们和其它嘉宾表示欢迎。他认为,此次展览梳理了90多个中央美院的学术团体,能够看到中央美术学院的学生和老师在上学期间或教学期间所进行的艺术、学术上的探讨和思考,十分有意义。同时这个展览也反映了中央美院美术馆近两年的学术成果,体现了央美馆所追求的学术理想。通过这样的展览形式使大家相聚在一起,共同回忆过去、讨论当下艺术的多样话题,对学术推动有很好的借鉴意义。

中央美术学院学术摄影协会成员、艺术团体“女画家的世界”成员、艺术家陈淑霞致辞

中央美术学院学生摄影协会的成员、艺术团体“女画家的世界”的成员、艺术家陈淑霞在致辞中回忆了中央美术学院学生摄影协会和“女画家的世界”两个艺术团体的诞生,以及团队成员带着单纯而执着的初衷,在设备简陋、经费缺乏的困难中创作、办展的过程。

四方工作室代表艺术家谭平致辞

四方工作室的代表艺术家谭平在致辞中简要梳理了四方工作室在25年前成立和举办展览和学术活动的历程。并强调了艺术团体可以充分发挥和调动个体成员的艺术能量。相对于个人艺术家来说,四方工作室能够以一种集体的力量,更强有力地吸引当时艺术届和评论届对于版画的关注和讨论,产生更广泛的影响。参加艺术小组对于个体艺术家来说是十分重要且宝贵的经历。

N12小组代表艺术家王颉致辞

N12小组的代表艺术家王颉在致辞中对中央美术学院和美术馆表示感谢——N12小组成立后的前三次展览,都是在中央美院美术馆举办,学院与美术馆当时对于初创时期的N12伸出援手、免费提供展览场地等资源。N12小组的12名成员正好涵盖了小组成立时中央美院当时的所有专业,大家是同学也是朋友,在成立至今的20年中,大家彼此互相鼓舞和促进,建立了深厚的友谊,也是小组能够持续的主要动力之一。希望小组带着“相聚”的梦想,未来再接再厉。

YCEA青年实验艺术小组代表艺术家陈明强致辞

YCEA青年实验艺术小组的代表陈明强提到,此次展览是让小组成员们都非常感动,一方面看到中央美院的前辈艺术家和当下的年轻艺术家都在做艺术小组,对于YCEA是一种激励。一方面,这次展览也是小组成员重新梳理YCEA过往发展的很好契机。YECA的初衷是通过做展览来梳理每个艺术成员个人的成长所要解决好的问题,不是为了做活动而活动,而是在寻找某些生命中不可或缺的东西。希望此次展览是YECA经历停摆后燃起动力、继续前进的开始。

TTTB Artist Run Space小组代表艺术家任伦致辞

TTTB Artist-Run Space小组的代表艺术家任伦在发言中提到,虽然TTTB小组仅仅成立3年,但在这段时间里让他体会到团队创作的优势与团队创作的不易,以及团队创作与个人创作的不同。艺术团体的一个重要任务,就是记录和促进小组成员的成长和友谊。在创作最寂寞的道路上,每个团队成员都像是在这个道路上点燃的一盏盏明灯,让我们在最孤独和寂寞的创作过程之中能够勇敢的向前,向未来的探索不断地前进。

此次展览系统性地收集、梳理和研究中央美术学院艺术团体,因很多艺术团体的活动并未公开发表或相对零散,策展团队注重以“有组织理念”“举办过展览活动”作为艺术团体的定义依据。通过展现艺术团体这种工作形式,及其丰富多元的理念和行动、形式各异的展览和作品,勾勒出以中央美术学院为代表的20世纪中国艺术创作的另一种面貌。显示出艺术团体在20世纪以来的中国美术发展中的特殊的作用,尤其是在青年艺术中的重要的意义。

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.

CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer

Article I

This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.

Article II

Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.

Article III

Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.

Article IV

Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.

Article V

During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
