“团体”，是艺术世界的一种常见工作方法。艺术团体，可能促成了某个观念的传播与接收，可能形成了有别于个人创作的另一条艺术史叙事脉络，也可能记录了一段共同成长的友谊。
此次展览即以“团体”作为切入以中央美术学院为坐标的中国美术史研究的一条线索，尝试梳理和展示中央美术学院百年发展史中各时期自组织艺术团体的文献，并抽取其中有历史代表性的若干团体作为样本进行剖析式的具体展示。
展览的第一部分以90个艺术团体的文献资料为内容。在该展区，首先展示了90个艺术团体的调研文本；同时从中择取37个艺术团体的文本，进行了“翻开”的展示，详细展示了这些艺术团体的活动图像、创作手稿、历史影像以及出版物等文献。接下来，将为大家按照时间顺序依次翻开这些艺术团体的文献资料本。在介绍完2000年以前的艺术团体后，接下来是2000年代的11个艺术团体：UNMASK小组、THEY他们艺术小组、川三工作室、中国写意油画学派、空白诗社、掉队、北广场雕塑组合、AHA Union吖哈组合、YCEA青年实验艺术小组、新青年艺术沙龙、阳台小组。
成立时间：2001年

团体理念：“UNMASK”仅仅是一个名称而已，不具有特殊的含义。对于 UNMASK来说，视觉形式只是符号，他们会根据每个阶段的想传达的不同内容选择运用什么样的符号。他们尝试在“产品、设计”与“艺术品”之间进行跨界实验，最终的梦想是想让 UNMASK 变为一个涉及面很广品牌，而不是只游走于艺术领域。尽管不拘泥于同一种风格，但是他们持续关注流行的消费文化成为他们作品的内在脉络。

团体理念：两人因为对当代艺术的共同理解和理想创立了他们艺术小组。之所以叫“他们”，是为了抛弃虚假和泛滥的自我标榜的“自我和个性”，取名“他们”正是抛弃“自我”，在一种“新集体主义”的合作之下去寻找“他们的个性”。

团体理念：因为某天某人的一句下意识地罗嗦，这群本应独立思考的人不知道为什么走到了一起，决定共同做一点什么。川三的意义是合作和入世，是将艺术的观念引入社会，是准确的极致。

团体理念：这些写意画家是从写生开始聚集，他们走出画室，把画架直接支在户外，支在大自然面前，重新磨砺对外物的敏感，锐化自己的艺术感觉，接续绘画与现实的关联，寻找属于自己个人化特点的表达和表现方式。他们通过一次次的艺术实验，拓展了写生的内涵。他们通过对视觉方法论探索，反映出在艺术发展的全球化环境中，中国油画要想在浩如烟海的世界艺术中凸显出来，必然是自然而然地朝向本土的方向，挖掘本土的文化资源，表达自身的文化诉求。

团体理念：空白诗社是致力于以艺术为主旨活动的学生社团，它不仅是一个诗歌爱好者的社团，更涵括着多个艺术文化领域，以诗歌为轴拓展活动内容，不定期举办朗诵会、音乐演出、观影活动和实验戏剧演出等活动，是美院文学艺术爱好者的重要交流平台。

团体理念：掉队就是身体里需要的一种元素，每个人都需要这种东西。在“掉队”里就是解放，摆脱平时秉承的原则，以自我愉悦为标准，达到一种轻盈放松的状态。

团体理念：吖哈组合的成员独立且自由多变，不想被定义类型，遂发现网络语气词“吖”（a/啊）、“哈”（ha）最像我们面对当今世界飞速滋生“千奇百怪”的表达态度，也是我们共同策划、创作、设计的行动基点。

团体理念：
人在互动的存在关系中形成丰富的日常景观，如何达到良好的共在关系是人能所触及到的根本性课题之一。那么，如何通过恰当的沟通 、协作，在共事中发挥每一个人的智慧 ，即逐步构建和不断完善组织的创作机制 ，又让每个成员都各得其所，便成为了艺术小组的日常问题 。在以小组为单位的创作生活中 ，每个成员时刻直面关于如何合作的课题 ，对于具有独立思考能力 ，甚至强烈的独断个性的艺术家来说 ，这个问题就更加显而易见了。
YCEA的起端没有预设某一个组织纲领或创作理念 ，而是从成员的实际问题出发 ，在行动中随时发现问题 ，随时生成解决问题的方案 ，也随时优化方案 ，自然地成长出属于YCEA独一无二组的合方式。在YCEA的创作生活中 ，如何处理个体与组织的关系是首要课题 ，如何获取最佳的合作方案是实验的终极的课题 ，这是也关于艺术组合在存在意义上的最为本质的问题 。
目前、YCEA采用个人独立创作和创作的集体合作双轨行动机制 ，在尊重个人的创作实验的同时，通过集体合作的创作实验，对标榜个性和独立的现代人另一面能力——参与及合作的社会性能力进行理性的探讨 ，使每个成员通过具体的创作事件 ，在个体经验与集体经验的张力中调整作为整体人格的认知方式 ，这就是YCEA的根本目的。

团体理念：新青年艺术沙龙一直致力于学术讨论、展览实践，以及艺术的跨界活动，宗旨是促进学术思想的碰撞，加强学院与外部实践的关系，最终促进学生的专业学习。鲁迅先生在《新青年》中曾经撰文写道：“我们所需要的美术家，是能吸引路的先觉，不是公民团的首领。我们所要求的美术品，是表达中国民族知能的最高的标本，不是水平线以下的思想的平均数”。新青年艺术沙龙最初的定位源自于鲁迅先生的这句话，新青年意在继承蔡元培先生“美育代宗教”的观点，复归八十年代艺术运动热情与艺术的崇高性为己任。

“独立成册”系列（2017），展览现场

团体理念：
“阳台”是建筑从内部延伸至公共区域之间的地带，这个词带有在书斋与社会之间隐喻，是小组对于自身形状的一种描述。小组成员年龄各异，均受业于中央美术学院实验艺术系，最初六人，2013年初程鹏和韩淑萦加入。2011-2015年期间，他们常聚在一起讨论彼此独自创作时遇到的问题，并在批评和交换意见中审视着自己艺术实践的有效性。
阳台小组的集体项目虽由每个成员独自创作，但在每个作品的方案阶段都有着极为深入的集体讨论。他们的集体项目有两个最为关键的概念：“肖像”和“采风”。在安娜、建国、老王和小王等一系列以名字为题的“肖像”项目中，小组考察了这些充满时代印记的名字从时髦到过时的历史构建机制，在每个成员不同想象的交错中启迪彼此。这种对一个形象的接力书写和相互重影，蕴含着一种已经消失、但又似未曾远离的集体文化。在静物、外国等“采风”项目中，则更多的是对于艺术史、艺术系统、社会现场的直接回应和行动。2015年7月16日早晨，小组成员登上八达岭长城，在暴雨中的长城之巅以水性颜料以集体作画的形式写生了长城之北的风景。在这个题为《外国》的项目之后，小组成员未再进行集体创作。

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.
CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer
Article I
This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.
Article II
Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.
Article III
Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.
Article IV
Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.
Article V
During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
