“团体”,是艺术世界的一种常见工作方法。艺术团体,可能促成了某个观念的传播与接收,可能形成了有别于个人创作的另一条艺术史叙事脉络,也可能记录了一段共同成长的友谊。

此次展览即以“团体”作为切入以中央美术学院为坐标的中国美术史研究的一条线索,尝试梳理和展示中央美术学院百年发展史中各时期自组织艺术团体的文献,并抽取其中有历史代表性的若干团体作为样本进行剖析式的具体展示。

展览的第一部分以90个艺术团体的文献资料为内容。在该展区,首先展示了90个艺术团体的调研文本;同时从中择取37个艺术团体的文本,进行了“翻开”的展示,详细展示了这些艺术团体的活动图像、创作手稿、历史影像以及出版物等文献。接下来,将为大家按照时间顺序依次翻开这些艺术团体的文献资料本。在介绍完2000年代的艺术团体后,接下来是2010年代的14个艺术团体:无人生还、SO艺术小组、“反正”艺术小组、冷墨、地瓜社区、π艺术小组、某集体 ART+TECH、BUMP爬坡小组、桌面研究艺术小组、后山司小组、临时小组、可滋可社、4aC Design、夹山改粱Jasagala。

团体理念:“无人生还”艺术小组利用相声这种特殊的口头式文学形式作为他们介入艺术的一种特殊的呈现方式,也作为一种独立的观看立场与态度。除了以相声的形式来表达你的艺术理念,小组还会涉及一些艺术项目,追求的是这种两个人一起合作的关系模式。

团体理念:“THE SO”可直译为“所以……”,是一种态度的表达,意味着个人独立创作的一个小结,更是未来组合创作的新开始。

团体理念:“反正”艺术小组致力于油画语言的创新,在油画学习中关注当代中国的巨变,表达年轻代的艺术创作风貌与自由感性的艺术创作态度。“反正”艺术小组主张用诗性的绘画语言来对抗不断理论化和工具化的现实社会,强调艺术创作对于这一代人的情感抒发。

团体理念:成员大多毕业于传统中国画造型专业,从传统的皴擦点染转型到对艺术理念的探索,融入了成员对国际政治、经济的不断论证和对传统文化的严肃思考。“冷墨”由此得名。创作理念是作品要较有力量、清冷、理性一些,就像名称“冷墨——cold ink”。

团体理念:某集体ART+TECH是一个专注于“艺术+科技”的创意集合体。团队集合了艺术家、设计师、建筑师、工程师、音乐人、策展人、剧作家、创意策划等多学科多领域专业人才,并与全球艺术、科技及商业领域最具创造力和冒险精神的个人或机构通力合作,通过作品创制、策展策划、体验设计、公共艺术等实践,不断探素“艺术科技”在博物馆、展览空间、商业空间、戏剧空间、公共空间等社会场域的应用场景。

团体理念:小组英文名“BUMP”既是“撞击之声”,又有“凸起”和“在颠簸中前行”之意。映射各种现实思想和观念在当下艰难实验前进的可能性。

团体理念:2014年,小组前身“天北艺术小组”曾在北京市顺义区罗马湖畔做过两次公益户外公共艺术展览。而今,小组的作品类型涉及雕塑、绘画、装置、影像、大地艺术等,并致力于公共艺术的探索与实践。使劳动艺术化或者使艺术劳动化是他们追逐的目标。

团体理念:“后山”指的是小组成员故乡的一座山,“司”是为了有组织分量,有古典的前沿感,用网上流行的话来说就是听上去更有逼格。小组成员均热衷传统文化,且各有所长。最初构想就是大家强强联合,小组成员根据各自擅长领域分工合作。款项自筹,独立自主。

团体理念:临时小组是一个突然之间就决定开始,又突然之间莫名消失的小组。临时小组的宗旨就是临时,所以艺术家可以随时加入和退出。

团体理念:可滋可社是最早一批使用手机直播做作品的90后艺术家之一,在进行艺术实验过程中企图更加接近“真相”,深入了解主播们的现状——台前幕后,以及相对“真实”的直播环境。我们相信像南戈尔·丁一样接近被创作对象和事件本身,可能会让创作在潜移默化当中,变得更有感染力和说服力。

团体理念:以视觉实验为命题的设计工作室,工作方式以平面设计与展览策划为主体,创作多围绕“观察”、“身份”、“翻译”三个命题展开,他们试图通过多元的视觉形式洞见不同文化环境之间的差异,构建创作者与观众之间通感共鸣的可能,从而编织一张崭新的意义之网。

团体理念:“夹山改梁”来源于河南装修土话,指的是将两个房间打通变成一个大房间。夹山改梁是开放的,是关于行动与连结的。夹山改梁的美学是以一种比较简单直接、低成本、混搭的方式去呈现,希望连接不同领域的实践者。借由第二次展览的契机,小组开始做起公众号,开始整理每个艺术家的作品及介绍还有简短的访谈,慢慢决定把公众号作为发布小组成员信息的平台,呈现以个人视角对艺术的观察。在线下策划展览活动,参与书展,做微店,将收入的一部分做基金池用作公共活动的运转经费。

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.

CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer

Article I

This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.

Article II

Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.

Article III

Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.

Article IV

Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.

Article V

During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
