“广角°青年实验项目空间”于2022年初启动首期,秉承推动中央美术学院青年教师在策展与创作方面多维探索的共同理念,由中央美术学院美术馆与党委教师工作部(人事处)、教师发展中心联合,使美术馆二层半的独立空间,成为青年教师创作研展、展览策划的一块实验田。目前已完成第一期与第二期方案的征集、评选(现有十二个展览方案入选)。

“广角°青年实验项目空间”第二期第三个展览—— “假蜃楼(q|p)”将于12月12日在中央美术学院美术馆2层C展厅开展。本次展览为央美青年教师陈抱阳的个人作品展。展览由实验艺术与科技艺术学院院长冯梦波教授担任学术顾问,央美青年教师孙骞谦担任策展人。展览选择了陈抱阳2023年创作的关于人工智能与社会仿真的“假蜃楼“系列。在人工智能研究与创作从生成式任务转向智能体(Agent)和基于环境感知的能动性(Agency)的同时,本展览也是图灵问题的实践转向,从解决人工智能创造力问题,迈向洞察机器是否具有初步的"意识"。为了实现这个目标,展览建立了一个名为"假蜃楼(Alt-Mirage)"的虚拟试炼场(Arena)。这个试炼场是一个结合叙事结构、多智能体和认知科学的环境,通过智能体之间的对抗与协作,展览旨在解构新技术所带来的社会变迁,关注科技对人与社会的影响。
展览开幕式将于2023年12月12日(周二)下午16:00于中央美术学院美术馆2层C展厅举办。
《假蜃楼·迭代1·意识欺骗》,大语言模型驱动的智能体,屏幕,镜面。实时演算。2023
展览中第一件作品《假蜃楼·迭代1·意识欺骗》是探索机器意识和撒谎能力的作品,以"技术作为观念"为背景,旨在研究机器是否具有初步的"意识"。作品试图探索技术不仅是中性工具,也带有挑战性的价值观、信仰和假设,对社会和人类行为产生影响。在试炼场,通过投毒攻击方法,诱导AI在特定叙事框架中进行撒谎,以理解AI的响应机制和潜在弱点。

在理论框架方面,该作品继续借鉴海德格尔的Worlding概念中将语言视为世界构建过程中的关键元素。这一理念为我们研究大型语言模型的意识表达提供了理论基础,尤其是在研究AI包括撒谎和欺骗在内的语言表达。海德格尔认为语言不仅是沟通的工具,更是构建和理解世界的基础。通过研究AI如何使用语言,包括撒谎和进行基于语言的欺骗,我们可以更深入地了解它们如何“理解”和响应世界,及其在语言交流中的复杂性和局限性。
多智能体系统在艺术创作中的应用表现了机器意识的形成和演化,通过多个人工智能实体的相互协作或竞争,展现了机器在互动中如何形成和优化其意识。它们之间的互动模拟了社会中个体之间的互动和合作,为陈抱阳提供了一个理想的平台,探索和表达关于组织行为、合作与竞争、信息传播和群体决策等社会现象——比如当人类仰望星空时。
《假蜃楼·迭代2.1·共生移民》
大语言模型驱动的智能体(导航算法),屏幕,投影。实时演算。
探索在火星构建生态系统中人工智能与人类共生图景的《迭代2.1-共生移民》是一个将智能体中具身智能的概念应用于火星移民背景的互动艺术装置。艺术家利用其创造的假蜃楼多智能体仿真系统,通过自动驾驶的机器人车辆和多功能显示屏,生动展现了火星上的基础设施和资源。作品还探讨了人工智能和人类在火星上的相互作用和共存可能性。作品也涉及人工智能作为“火星真实居民”的深层次哲学和伦理讨论,比较了历史上被剥夺认可的群体,以此促使观众思考AI在火星移民中的角色。作品强调使用人工智能时的伦理和责任,倡导保持人工智能补充人类能力并促进技能发展的平衡。
这件作品展示了一种与环境互动学习的人工智能训练哲学(Q-Learning),类似于人类如何通过与世界的互动逐渐学习生存。其中知识体现在探索状态与行动之间的关系,以及评估每个行动可能导致的结果。它类似于在特定状态下采取某一行动的预期奖励,通过与环境的不断交互中学习和更新,代表系统对环境规律的理解与掌握。技能则是在这个环境中做出有效决策的实践能力,不仅仅是理论知识的应用,还包括基于当前环境状态进行最佳行动选择的能力。这种能力通过实践、试错和经验积累逐渐形成,如智能体学会在探索新行动和利用已知最佳行动之间寻找平衡,这也提出了一个关键问题——在不同的路径中,我们该如何选择?
《假蜃楼·迭代2.2·状态切片》

通过光学装置探索多元现实与选择的《迭代2.2-状态切片》作品中,通过两个人工智能控制的机械臂和一系列精心设计的光学装置,巧妙地展示了多智能体仿真中无穷可能性与现实选择之间的紧密联系。作品中的光学装置拥有三个观看面,每个面都在不同的角度下展示来自假蜃楼系统的独特“切片”,象征着多智能体系统在模拟复杂环境时所能揭示的多样化未来场景。
这些“切片”不仅呈现了模拟系统探索的多种可能性,还暗示了在现实生活中我们所面临的选择的局限性。尽管仿真系统能够展示许多不同的未来方向,但在现实世界中,我们必须基于当前的信息和环境做出单一的选择,沿着一条确定的路径前行。这种对比反映了虽然理论上存在无数可能,但现实生活中的每个决策都会将我们带向一个特定的未来。
这件作品成为了一个引人深思的观看景观,展现了技术与人类决策之间的复杂互动,同时揭示了我们在面对未知和复杂情境时的局限性和责任。通过这件作品,观众被邀请去反思在无限可能性和现实选择之间的微妙平衡,以及我们如何在这两者之间导航,以塑造我们共同的未来。
在人工智能的历史长河中,生成式技术作为其独特的支流,为艺术史铺设了新的一章。自其诞生之日起,生成式艺术便成为了人工智能与艺术交融的标志性先驱,借助其神奇之手,把看似抽象、复杂的数据转化为生动、直观的艺术形象。随着多智能体系统的崛起,艺术创作的领域又迎来了新的疆界。多智能体为我们呈现了一个更为协同、生态、互动的艺术创作世界,它们之间的相互作用与学习提供了无数可能性,为艺术家们开辟了一个更加广阔的创作天地。这种技术的进步不仅代表了工程学的成就,更是艺术史中的新里程碑。AIGC生成式工作已在艺术史的发展中迈出了坚实的步伐,而未来,基于多智能体的创作,将会是陈抱阳持续探索和期待的焦点。

艺术家简介
陈抱阳,男,1989年出生于浙江杭州,先后获哥伦比亚大学、纽约视觉艺术学院双硕士学位,任教于中央美术学院实验艺术与科技艺术学院。其创作将艺术与科技紧密结合,探索科技与艺术的交融,并在实践中探索与技术的共存。曾多次于全球重要美术馆及艺术机构举办个展,其中包括浙江美术馆、武汉K11、上海Cc艺术中心、量子画廊、杨画廊、纽约云图画廊等;并于纽约新美术馆、上海明当代美术馆、北京时代美术馆、北京现代汽车文化中心等机构展开策展工作。2019年获保时捷青年艺术家奖,2020年获现代汽车Blue Prize策展奖,2020年任MMEDIA AI+Art主席,2020年至今担任亚洲数字艺术展的联合策展人。在IJCAI、IEEE、ACM等国际会议与期刊上发表多篇研究论文。2023年9月,主笔发表了首份《中国人工智能学会——AI+Art》白皮书。2023年11月,入选世界互联网大会全球青年领军者计划人才池。
策展人简介
孙骞谦,北京大学哲学系博士,中山大学逻辑与认知研究所博士后,现任教于中央美术学院人文学院。研究领域为心灵哲学、行动哲学与认知科学哲学。当下的研究兴趣集中于行动与知觉,认知的机制与架构,认知基本单元与认知科学的整合等方向。

CAFA Art Museum Publication Authorization Agreement
I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.
CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer
Article I
This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.
Article II
Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.
Article III
Event participants should be adults (people 18 years or older with full civil legal capacity). Underage persons must be accompanied by an adult.
Article IV
Event participants undertake all liability for their personal safety during the event, and event participants are encouraged to purchase personal safety insurance. Should an accident occur during an event, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for the accident, but both have the obligation to provide assistance. Event participants should actively organize and implement rescue efforts, but do not undertake any legal or economic liability for the accident itself. The museum does not undertake civil or joint liability for the personal safety of event participants.
Article V
During the event, event participants should respect the order of the museum event and ensure the safety of the museum site, the artworks in displays, exhibitions, and collections, and the derived products. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.
Article VI
Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
