2023年10月24日-11月19日,“心中的国际歌——闻立鹏绘画中的纪念碑意象”展览在中央美术学院美术馆2层B展厅展出。展览展示了油画《国际歌》的创作画稿168件,以及闻立鹏先生各时期的代表作40余件,是闻立鹏先生展出作品最多的一次个展。在展览期间,聘请曹庆晖教授为导师,开展了为期4 周的“闻立鹏油画创作研究工作坊”。
中央美术学院美术馆作为美育实施的重要场所,非常注重和各系日常教学的深度联系,也积极为各系日常教学的开展和延伸提供参观和教学服务。此次展览开幕后,人文学院美术史系教授曹庆晖即协同策展人李垚辰、高高,提出在所主讲的以现代美术史与艺术物料学为主体的中国近现代美术专题选修课中,套接以展览内容为研究对象的工作坊。曹庆晖认为闻立鹏《国际歌》的创作过程展示,极符合和对应本期课程中对画稿的教学研讨,为了让选课生充分理解画稿及其背后涌动的情感激流、思想潮流以及艺术学习、继承和创新方面的问题,必须把课堂从教室转移到美术馆去、转移到实际物料上去。李垚辰、高高认为美术馆做好展览,就是希望更多的师生与学者介入其中,深入研讨,充分发挥展览策划的教育功能。为此,曹庆晖、李垚辰共商教学内容和计划,指定阅读书目,明确教学要求,形成为期四周的闻立鹏油画创作研究工作坊,力图通过文献阅读、作品解读、亲属讲座、专题研讨等方式,研究闻立鹏油画创作以及与此相关的内容,为同学们搭建了比教室教学更丰富立体的深入认识、接触和理解画家作品及其人生的课程平台。
首先,工作坊的同学们根据课前提供的闻立鹏先生相关研究资料进行初步学习。其次,通过每周一次、不同内容的课程讲授对展览进行深入解读,组织了展览导览、艺术家家属讲述、研究成果交流、专题座谈会等丰富形式的工作坊教学活动。工作坊导师与同学们共同深入思考交流,并取得良好成效。在工作坊教学过程中,部分学生有幸与闻立鹏先生现场对话,收获颇丰。

第二次课——线上讲座
11月2日上午,线上讲座“闻立鹏的创作之路”于中央美术学院美术馆会议室顺利举办。本次讲座由策展人李垚辰主持,特别邀请到艺术家家属闻立鹏先生之子闻丹青先生作为主讲人。
闻丹青先生结合历史照片和诸多文献,以亲人的视角讲述闻立鹏先生的创作之路和成长经历,以及对其创作产生影响的诸多历史细节。
讲座持续2小时,工作坊的多位同学积极参与并向主讲人提问发言,展开了有效交流。

第三、四次课——现场讲评
11月9日及11月16日上午的两次课程,工作坊的同学们根据之前下发的参考书目、讲授内容以及参观过程中形成的各自感兴趣的问题,形成报告并在展厅根据各自讲题需要在展览单元和原作之间穿梭讲述。
曹庆晖教授从多个角度对同学们的汇报进行了点评。曹庆晖表扬同学讲述发言远比教室发言要大声和自信,鼓励同学在“谈什么、怎么谈”上多注意和“写什么、怎么写”上的区别与联系,特别强调谈和写作为不同的表达方式有不同的要求,要在学习写的同时注意学习谈的方式。同时对于部分讲题和细节,如形象塑造与转换参考、色彩表现与纪念碑意象、构思过程中图与图的逻辑关系、人在潮流中和潮流中的人等问题,师生也在讲述进行中自由讨论和交流。

11月18日上午,“特定藏品研究与展览策划”座谈会于中央美术学院美术馆会议室顺利举行。参会的有工作坊导师曹庆晖、策展人李垚辰、中央美术学院美术馆研究部主任刘希言、壹美美术馆馆长路贝及本次选课生,座谈会由艺讯网编辑周纬萌主持。

座谈会的第一个环节是由李垚辰老师和曹庆晖教授分别进行专题报告。
李垚辰发言
李垚辰老师以《营造艺术的微生态——通过“心中的国际歌”的策划看美术馆策划中的研究性工作特点》为题,对展览策划的始末进行梳理,详细阐述了展览选题、策划和内容呈现的研究步骤,以此讨论如何通过特定范围的藏品进行展览研究和策划工作。首先,他指出在美术馆的展览策划中要研究可展出作品和资料的特点,并梳理展览的线索、逻辑。然后,他通过详细分析“心中的国际歌”展览策划筹备中的研究工作,从展览项目的起因出发,展开分析了“如何展”这一漫长的研究过程:①从了解艺术家,了解作品开始,梳理展览史,体会艺术家,围绕核心作品提问题。②发现闪光点,发现问题,发现“纪念碑性”。③围绕油画《国际歌》建构基本展览结构,叙事逻辑。④根据板块确定展品范围,或根据展览内容调整板块。⑤确立展览的举办意义、目的。⑥确立展览标题,要全面地直切要害地体现展览精神,并不断的深化打磨方案,思考与空间的结合落地。最后,李垚辰老师总结了美术馆特定藏品展览策划中研究工作的特点和优势。
曹庆晖发言
曹庆晖教授的报告题目是《美术馆为一件(套)藏品策划的展览及其逻辑和问题策略》,他首先以中央美术学院美术馆为例,总结了十年间美术馆所做的70个老艺术家研究展览,然后以冯法祀《开山》、李叔同《半裸女像》、袁运生《水乡的记忆》等与本次展览类似的多个案例进行对比分析,分析了此次展览通过一件作品进行由点及面延伸,总结出“有一说一,里里外外”的展览特点,并以2021年的展览“一段记忆的修复一一袁运生《水乡的记忆》作品史研究”为例讲解作品史概念的提出和突破。另外,曹庆晖教授也通过展览实例,在“有一说一”之外,提示出“以点带面,画外求画”的策展逻辑的存在,强调要通过不断的策展和实践,建立“有一说一”和“画外求画”的相辅相成关系。他最后谈到:①就中国现代美术并不令人满意的美术馆典藏基础来说,现阶段乃至更长的阶段中,有一说一将是一件套作品的主要策展方式,这实际上是在长期看不见不了解的前提下终于能够饫看认识的自然反应。在这种自然反应中,要进一步以人为本,完善以一件套作品为中心的物料系统,扩充夯实有一说一的典藏基础,将相应的比较硬实的物料,能多拿一点就不少拿一点,把以作品为中心向以包含作品的物料为中心的征集思路转移,为研究作品和讲好作品充分备料。在此意义上的物料征集工作,应该被视为一项长期的专案工作。逐渐地,画外求画也会向画外求料转移。②基于已有的一件套作品收藏,实施规划一些整合性的、比较性的作品生产研究展览,一件套再利用,引领学术话题,促进学术研讨。③充分实践作品史逻辑,这是美术馆特有的工作方法的反映,可以在此逻辑下多规划一件套作品的收藏和研究,形成一些反映该逻辑的代表性策展成果和方法论基础。④加强画外求画的工作联系和策展实践,这是沟通情况、打破壁垒和盘活物料的最行之有效的方式。⑤目前的一件套作品展览策划和当下问题关切脱节,当下艺术家一件套作品的展览策划工作基本没有展开,如何入手慢慢起步,需要思考和行动。对于中央美术学院优秀毕业创作应有一件套物料典藏意识,早征快取做展览,构建促进典藏的良性循环机制。⑥加强与展同行的研究写作。

座谈会的第二个环节是针对第一环节的发言内容和本次座谈会的主题进行延伸讨论。
首先座谈嘉宾结合自己的工作经验对本次座谈会主题进行讨论。刘希言老师以展览“何处寻行迹”、“闲步观妆——18、19世纪中国平板玻璃画研究展”为例,阐述了这些不同展览之间的共性,指出特定藏品研究是策展的一种“思路”,从一件或一类作品入手是展览筹备中一个很好的工作方法。路贝老师从自身民营美术馆的运营经验,阐述了与高校美术馆之间的异同,她认为此次展览蕴含的感情淋漓尽致,将艺术家在生活和创作受到的影响都有所表达和呈现,强调了物料和画稿对创作和研究的重要性,讲述了当代艺术家个案研究的案例,并举例壹美美术馆借展潘鹤代表作《艰苦岁月》的工作,再次表达了艺术家情感建立的重要性。
其次,在同类展览向校外扩展的可能性方面,李垚辰以《水乡的记忆》外展作为案例,谈到观众群体的不同会使关注点产生差异。他认为特藏展的作用主要在于提供展览策划的方法论,揭示了美术馆的幕后工作以及需求,并需要依据社会的发展不断体会观众的需求,引起大家共鸣。同时他指出有些展览通俗易懂,有的展览则需要从研究的角度出发,选择合适的认知度高的藏品进行推广。刘希言谈到对于外展,怎么让展览留住观众是特别需要考虑的,只有让观众在视觉、趣味、线索上多停留,才有可能继续深入关注到作品和阐释。她以“耕耘在大地上——中央美术学院美术馆藏版画专题展”为例,强调了展览形式与受众群体匹配的重要性。曹庆晖认为异地展出的展览需要根据地理位置和空间的变化而变化,会不可避免出现与原有展览不同的感受。
之后,针对曹庆晖老师所提出的,展览当中走出作品,进入作品史研究的话题,周纬萌分享了伊娃·黑塞的作品《扩展的扩展》的修复和展览案例,她提到2022年该作品再次展出时,运用到了大量的作品手稿,与本次展览有相通之处,并且在与艺术家家属和助手的交流过程中,能够挖掘到艺术家本人最原始的态度,以及对作品未来的构想,因此展览团队对作品进行了最小程度的干预修复。她认为,作品相关的历史物料、与艺术家对于原作的态度以及作品的修复过程是高度一致和自洽的。

座谈会的第三个环节是工作坊的同学们对于近期课程和本次座谈会内容向座谈嘉宾提问。问题涉及到作品史的梳理、展览的安全性、展览策划中的思维冲突等方面,嘉宾们都根据自身的工作经验耐心给予同学们全面而深入的解答。
专题座谈会以嘉宾各自的工作研究经验从不同角度延展课题,为同学们提供了更多样化的研究视角,为本次工作坊画上了圆满的句号。

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.
CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement
According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):
I. General Provisions
(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.
(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.
(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.
II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use
(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.
(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.
(3) Geographical Scope of Use
The applicable geographic scope is global.
The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).
III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use
Use in perpetuity.
IV. Licensing Fees
The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.
After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.
Additional Terms
(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.
(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.
(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.
Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
