 “广角°青年实验项目空间”第二期第三回展览—— “假蜃楼(q|p)”于12月12日在中央美术学院美术馆如期开幕。本次展览为央美青年教师陈抱阳的个人作品展。展览由实验艺术与科技艺术学院院长冯梦波教授担任学术顾问,央美青年教师孙骞谦担任策展人。

中央美术学院副院长邱志杰致辞

邱志杰副院长在致辞中表示,陈抱阳是最早在智能体领域展开思考和探索的艺术家,下一步应积极的发明概念来推动历史向前发展。比如过去跟大脑有关的艺术,大量的是脑图像艺术、大脑成像艺术,今天最主流的概念是用脑波来驱动行为或者表演。假如写故事的逻辑出现,很快就会有大脑增强意识、大脑训练意识、大脑改造意识。希望这个项目,更多涌现出这种勇于提出概念、勇于提出命题,甚至未来在艺术史上会被铭记的展览。

韩文超书记表示,“广角°青年实验项目空间”的场地虽小,但展览的题材、面貌非常多元。此次展览的开幕对美术馆有多层意义:第一,这是第一个关于人工智能的展览,为“广角°青年实验项目空间”自身学术积累和学术建设提供了一个非常宝贵的案例。第二,作为国家级重点美术馆和国家科普教育基地,科技和艺术的深度融合,对美术馆在全国科普基地建设角度提供了非常生动的材料和探索。最后,陈抱阳老师从拥抱时代、顺应潮流的视角,积极关注和引领这个领域,并配合“AI+Art:智能体艺术与机器意识”论坛,提高了大家思维的深度和广度。

展览策展人、中央美术学院人文学院教师孙骞谦致辞

策展人孙骞谦向大家阐述了展览题目的由来。(q|p)这个符号是当代哲学逻辑当中的一个分支,叫做“道理逻辑思考”。这个表达式的意思是,在p这个处境下,一个理性的智能体它应当展开怎样的行为?那么这个行为就由q来代替。这也是尝试涵盖陈抱阳老师一系列作品的切入点。这个切入点正好符合当前人工智能向多智能体方向发展的演化。希望借助陈老师的作品能够以艺术的角度去关注和思考,如何在由人类心灵构成的世界装置中呈现可能存在的某种理性主体,乃至承担某种道德情感、道德价值的机器主体,在与人类所形成的互动之中,如何达成一种相互的理解。

艺术家陈抱阳谈到,作为一个创作者,他一直在思考人工智能在艺术语境中可以做些什么。当人工智能驱动一些智能体的时候,可以看到智能体之间相互发生的各种各样的关系,例如社会仿真,构建的或是虚拟数字角色等,这些思考将在本次展览中呈现。

教师工作部副部长兼人事处副处长郁飞担任主持人

本次展览选择了陈抱阳2023年创作的关于人工智能与社会仿真的“假蜃楼“系列。在人工智能研究与创作从生成式任务转向智能体(Agent)和基于环境感知的能动性(Agency)的同时,本展览也是图灵问题的实践转向,从解决人工智能创造力问题,迈向洞察机器是否具有初步的"意识"。为了实现这个目标,展览建立了一个名为"假蜃楼(Alt-Mirage)"的虚拟试炼场(Arena)。这个试炼场是一个结合叙事结构、多智能体和认知科学的环境,通过智能体之间的对抗与协作,展览旨在解构新技术所带来的社会变迁,关注科技对人与社会的影响。

展览将持续至2024年1月1日。

陈抱阳,1989年出生于浙江杭州,先后获哥伦比亚大学、纽约视觉艺术学院双硕士学位,任教于中央美术学院实验艺术与科技艺术学院。其创作将艺术与科技紧密结合,探索科技与艺术的交融,并在实践中探索与技术的共存。曾多次于全球重要美术馆及艺术机构举办个展,其中包括浙江美术馆、武汉K11、上海Cc艺术中心、量子画廊、杨画廊、纽约云图画廊等;并于纽约新美术馆、上海明当代美术馆、北京时代美术馆、北京现代汽车文化中心等机构展开策展工作。2019年获保时捷青年艺术家奖,2020年获现代汽车Blue Prize策展奖,2020年任MMEDIA AI+Art主席,2020年至今担任亚洲数字艺术展的联合策展人。在IJCAI、IEEE、ACM等国际会议与期刊上发表多篇研究论文。2023年9月,主笔发表了首份《中国人工智能学会——AI+Art》白皮书。2023年11月,入选世界互联网大会全球青年领军者计划人才池。

孙骞谦,北京大学哲学系博士,中山大学逻辑与认知研究所博士后,现任教于中央美术学院人文学院。研究领域为心灵哲学、行动哲学与认知科学哲学。当下的研究兴趣集中于行动与知觉,认知的机制与架构,认知基本单元与认知科学的整合等方向。

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer.
