“广角°青年实验项目空间”第二期第二回展览“根景-智联-跃界:探索植物,技术与其他生命的交错共振”源自于全球生态危机背景下对于植物的研究热潮,试图以策展作为途径,以材料与技术作为载体,以设计、建筑及艺术等不同学科的眼光检视全人类面临的迫切议题,探寻应对地球危机的设计之道。为此,策展团队精心策划了“根景-智联-跃界”主题分享会和专题导览系列学术活动,从多个角度展开对展览主题的艺术探索与创造。

展览策展人、中央美术学院设计学院教师李贝壳对展览背景和设计学院教学中“植物“话题的研究成果进行总结

张娜 (独立设计师、再造衣银行Reclothing Bank创始人)

张娜在演讲的开始表示非常感谢邀请,中央美院对她来说是一个非常亲切的存在。她认为,用自然的方法解决自然的问题非常重要,从艺术、设计和科技是建立手工情感与疗愈等维度转换的桥梁。再造衣银行的创立始于2010年,通过研发技术将丢弃的旧衣重新变成新的衣服。秉承公平贸易原则,与北京外来低收入的已婚人群合作,给予他们薪酬和技能培训。同时,再造面料实验室通过回收塑料垃圾和农作物残渣,将其制作成新型的面料和产品。每年测算再造材料的碳排放和水节约量,实现94%的水节约、45%的碳排放减少和42%的天然气通。通过与企业跨界合作,例如与星巴克合作推出用回收塑料瓶制作的包和用咖啡袋制作的配件服饰等都在以自己的力量解决塑料污染问题。

艺术疗愈作为再造衣银行的核心理念之一,通过将私人经历视觉化,以艺术的方式重塑过去、现在和未来的生活。通过研究生物动力学和有机农场,将有机材料应用于设计中,提供生物多样性保护和疗愈效果。另外,张娜提到通过少数民族手工艺和文化传承,将藏区牧民的绒制作成高级手工面,再利用生物多样性,采集自然原料如菠萝皮和木浆纤维,制作可降解的再生皮革和面料。以艺术品和设计作品的形式呈现,展示植物的独特魅力和再造设计的创新视阈。通过与产业链合作大规模推广和生产实现商品从原材料到产品生成的转变。

与此同时,再造衣银行坚持加入1%地球税计划,每年捐赠相应百分比的销售额给地球,在公益和可持续发展方向投入关注。并且通过多种媒介方式将再造设计应用于各个领域,实现从清水变鸡汤,垃圾变新装的理念。再造衣银行通过再造设计的实践,提出问题,解决问题,将艺术与设计与可持续发展三者相结合,用设计研发带动消费和产业链发展,推动可持续设计的实践和推广。



李习斌 (超级植物品牌主理人、北京大田作物设计工作室创始人)

在这次对谈中,超级植物的主理人李习斌分享了他们设计事务所的发展历程,从建立一家设计事务所到创办超级植物品牌。他始终对植物保持着浓厚兴趣,同时在演讲中解释到选择将主题定为让创造力成为可持续性的原因。从对植物的好奇到从植物提取灵感保持对生物智慧的追求。他回顾了设计事务所的早期创业阶段以及其事务所的发展过程,强调通过中国传统文化和本土设计方式解决问题的重要性。随着他对于生态问题环境问题思考的深入,对于生态问题的研究开始聚焦在植物领域,同时通过日常对植物市场的调研和种植植物经历,让他创建了目前的品牌“超级植物”。

另外,李习斌也提到设计师需要在感性和理性之间找到平衡,尤其是在商业领域,需要兼顾创造力和确定性的商业价值。他以自己的设计事务所和超级植物品牌为例,强调了如何通过创意和表达植物的精神来超越产品本身,成为植物的经纪人。他还强调了创意的不确定性,创造力是设计师的灵感和天赋的产物,同时也是无法通过逻辑推导出的。所以合理平衡创意和产业之间的关系是每个设计师在面向产业化过程中需要思考的问题。最后,他分享了超级植物品牌的未来发展方向,希望通过创意和故事传达植物的态度和生活方式,让更多人了解植物的智慧。


杨北辰 (研究者与策展人、美凯龙艺术中心(MACA)总监、普拉达基金会(Fondazione Prada)思想委员会(Thought Council)成员)

杨北辰的演讲主题是《积极植物学:互助、团结与正义》,他以他在美凯龙艺术中心(MACA)规划的研究性展览系列“谁拥有自然”的第一章“多物种之云”为例,试图探讨人类如何在生态危机与去人类中心主义的背景下与植物建立联系。杨北辰特别强调了“博物的民族志”的方法论,借由这种新型的人类学研究视野,一种“生态—生物—生命”的整体性可能应运而生。

在这个视野中,动物、植物、细菌、病毒与微生物都成为了主角,它们与人类占有同样的地位和分量,不再是被消费的对象,而是与人在一起制造、生产、编织着大家赖以生存的时空与星球。 从这个角度出发,“多物种之云”指向了一种跨物种网络在展览中的体现。杨北辰以瑞士艺术家Uriel Oriow的作品《向非洲蒿学习》为例,介绍了作品的研究背景,并针对其中涉及的殖民史、地缘政治以及植物学等方面的知识进行了讲解。透过这件作品中所反映的跨物种的互助与团结关系,杨北辰引出了从“地方博物学”“帝国博物学”向“非帝国博物学”甚至“无知学”方向的演变,进而促使我们思考如何以一种去殖民化的、超越现代性的方式去认知世界。随后,杨北辰又指出了在这个演变背后的两种不同的政治思想,一种是“世界主义”,认为地球是人类的某种“共同资产”,另一种则是“宇宙政治”,其将世界视为是由不同行动者——人与非人——共同创造的产物。

杨北辰接下来又展示了“多物种之云”中数件与植物相关的作品,以具体的作品来说明何为跨物种网络以及多物种的团结与正义等问题,并介绍了展览的特别公共项目“毡团”。最后,他提示大家“谁拥有自然”第二章“元素小说”目前正在MACA展出,以元素为主题,此次展览关注的话题从物种的有机世界转入了无机世界。


孙漪南 (北京林业大学艺术设计学院、环境设计系副主任,讲师、景观设计师)

演讲深入探讨了植物在城市景观设计中的应用,特别强调了植物选择、搭配和环境适应性的重要性。首先孙漪南介绍了自己在植物设计领域的经验和背景,强调在景观设计中进行植物的精确标注和搭配的必要性。详细描述了植物设计的过程,包括每一种植物的选择和搭配,以及植物标注在设计中的关键作用。通过与听众的互动,探讨了不同植物的识别方法和特性,强调理解每种植物特性在设计中的重要性。同时引用了一位著名设计师的话来阐释植物特性在设计中的应用,将科学和艺术在植物设计中有机结合。

张天怡 (生态艺术家、中央美术学院艺术与科技方向博士生)

在张天怡的分享中,她介绍了作品创作的背景、植物智能的内涵、植物权利的承认,生态艺术的发展并深入探讨了科技在生态艺术中的研究现状与意义。张天怡以“动植物间的生态关系”为核心主题,对人类中心主义的观念提出了批判性思考,强调了新的科学技术在重建动植物生态联系中的潜力。她的作品《植物智能计划》以“生态关系”为切入点,基于植物智能研究,承认植物的能动性和权利,利用生物科技手段和材料修复商业育种作物丧失的与动物之间的生态联系,这是对植物和动物间被人类异化的“生态关系”的修复。

她的分享不仅局限于生态学的传统理解,还拓展介绍了植物神经生物学,植物间的交流能力和记忆等智能领域。通过实验室研究和创作实践,张天怡展现了植物智能的多样性和深刻性,她的作品体现了对深层生态学的关注,倡导非人类中心的价值观,并探索生态艺术在形式和内容上新的可能性。她的工作是基于植物智能的研究,承认植物的能动性和权利,对生态环境进行积极介入和修复的实际行动。

张天怡的演讲和作品为听众、艺术家和设计师提供了一个全新视角,利用艺术和科技来对生态环境进行修复,以增强我们对生态系统的理解和参与。她的实践是生态艺术领域的一种创新,通过艺术的方式提升了公众对环境问题的认识和关注,同时也探索了艺术和科学领域的新交叉点。

If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
