On July 7th, "The Ceremony of Pluralities, Reaching Eternity - Korean Art Four-Person Exhibition" opened as scheduled at the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. This exhibition also kicks off a series of domestic and international exhibitions in our museum during the summer vacation. The "Korean Art Four-Person Exhibition" highlights four Korean artists: Lee Jin-woo, Zhang Zhenyuan, Lee Seung-hee, and Shin Yeong-ho. They embrace their cultural heritage through the use and practice of traditional media, and transform it into devout expressions with contemporary nature. These artists showcase their artistic forms and their own nationality through extremely arduous creative processes. Through strict and repetitive creation, these artists are reborn in what they expect, protest, and praise. During this journey, their works offer a reflective path to approach the concepts of transcendence and eternity.

参展艺术家李镇雨致辞

Artist Li Zhenyu believes that the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) not only nurtures many Chinese artistic talents, but also plays an equally important role in introducing contemporary art. As one of the birthplaces of world culture, China has a history of intertwined convergence from ancient times to the present. The culture and art of China and Korea should be complementary and exchanged, and it is hoped that some of the Korean modern art presented in the Central Academy of Fine Arts will bring more artistic thinking to the society in the context of the grand historical vein.
