在数字化和全球化交织的今天,美术馆面临着多重挑战——观众需求的碎片化、社会议题的复杂性以及文化认同的多元性,这使得美术馆的使命早已超出了传统的艺术品保存和展示,转而成为了社会议题的对话平台以及知识生产的枢纽。

依托中国中部地区文化的语境,武汉美术馆经过11年的发展,逐渐形成了独特的策展的线索:以城市为依托、以主题为统领、以当代为范畴、以国际为广度;关注经典、关注水墨、关注当代、关注本土。


武汉美术馆在主题语言上彰显了文化自信,几条脉络彼此交织,相互激发,构成了武汉美术馆策展的系统。

武汉美术馆的策展始终根植于本土文化,立足于城市精神文脉。依托“艺术美丽一座城市,艺术启迪美好心灵”的办馆宗旨,武汉美术馆策划了一系列独具武汉气度的战略性展览,挖掘武汉作为九省通衢的独特身份和丰富的文化脉络,组织策划馆藏作品展,坚持活化产品、服务社会,推动国内外巡展,通过友城、友馆增进对城市人文和艺术的互鉴。

3、关照青年的自主策划

青年艺术家是艺术生态的未来和希望。基于这一考量,武汉美术馆重点打造了自主策划品牌“繁星计划:青年艺术家研究展”,目前正在策划第九届,以此呈现艺术家进行多门类当代艺术创作的最新实验性成果,并展开研讨。近年以来,武汉美术馆收藏了数百件参展艺术家的作品。


对青年艺术家的支持,不仅推动了艺术未来的发展,也为美术馆注入了新的活力,构建了一个集创作、研究、收藏和推广为一体的系统。

4、拥抱未来的多元策展

在数字文明和城市更新交织的当下,双年展具有不可替代的文化属性。2022年,武汉美术馆琴台馆正式对外开放,“高山流水觅知音”从一个抽象的古老佳话变成了可见的艺术空间。


与这座美术馆一起亮相的是“艺以通衢——2022武汉双年展”,这是一个集合了国际视野、中国情怀和武汉特色的国际化双年展,邀请了24个国家的艺术家参展,接待观众总共超过60余万人次。


2024武汉双年展以“城市流体”为命题,立足长江文明和世界大国文明,一方面以“流体”意会武汉地处长江中下游所具有的水文化特征,另一方面强调武汉作为国家中心城市,在文化、科技、教育等方面所呈现出的多样性、创新性和可持续性。

数字技术的快速发展和广泛应用,显著推动了社会文化进步和经济转型,也为艺术创作提供了全新的手段和广阔的空间。在此背景下,武汉美术馆积极促进地域文化和世界艺术的同频共振,不断更新知识生产机制,始终保持对新思想、新技术、新可能性的开放态度和探索的精神。


1、构建多维合作体系,打造开放艺术社区

进行跨界合作是当代艺术创新的重要途径。武汉美术馆通过与高校科研机构等合作,不断拓展专业边界和社会功能,如“展览言语之外:艺术与疗愈”是武汉美术馆与武汉协和医院合作的尝试,不仅丰富了美术馆的展览内容,也为不同的人群提供了更多元的互动体验。未来,武汉美术馆将持续探索艺术与其他学科的交叉融合,进一步拓展美术馆的边界。

打造开放艺术社区


结合城市更新计划,武汉美术馆将美育活动融入街区的改造中,同时建成了湖北省第一座社区美术馆,成为了新时代美育与社区建设的枢纽站。其依托美术馆的馆藏资源,实现了艺术共享共建,实现艺术普惠大众。


在不断强化服务基层和艺术公共性的同时,武汉美术馆充分利用现代科技技术,加强网络资源的共享,通过线上的展览讲座等形式,打破时空局限,实现了线上线下的良性互动。

2、数字赋能艺术更新,文化共绘城市画卷

艺术与科技的融合正在成为人工智能时代激发人类创造力的重要的力量。数字艺术日益成为公共文化领域的热点话题。


“2024武汉双年展”积极拓展艺术的定义,以更加开放的姿态将AI技术和生态概念结合的艺术创作引入展览,在推广方面,运用数字技术,构建人文科技双向互通的新领域,为观众提供了全新的观看视角和思考路径。

“城市流体”2024年武汉双年展


近年来,武汉美术馆深化“用艺术点亮城市印记”的公共教育理念,构建新时代全民美育体系,年均触达公众30余万人次。公教项目“用艺术点亮星星的孩子——艺术的分贝”汇聚了社会公益力量,以学科帮扶、文创推广等多元方式,帮助特殊人群在美育项目的浸润中提振信心,创新文化育人的有效载体。


武汉美术馆始终推动艺术和文旅的深度融合,坚持“以文促旅,以旅彰人”为城市热点,提升城市文化品质,不断创新公共美育实施的计划。

陈勇劲

陈勇劲,毕业于湖北美术学院。1994年就职于湖北省美术院,任油画、水彩画创作研究室主任;2014年就职于武汉画院,任院长;2020年至今就职于武汉美术馆,任馆长,一级美术师(专技二级)。中国美术家协会水彩画艺委会副秘书长,湖北省美术家协会副主席,湖北美术学院特聘教授,2024武汉双年展展览总监。作品展出于上海博物馆、中国美术馆、干叶美术馆、关山月美术馆、上海美术馆、湖北美术馆等。

I fully agree to CAFA Art Museum (CAFAM) submitting to CAFA for publication the images, pictures, texts, writings, and event products (such as works created during participation in workshops) related to me from my participation in public events (including museum member events) organized by the CAFA Art Museum Public Education Department. CAFA can publish these materials by electronic, web, or other digital means, and I hereby agree to be included in the China Knowledge Resource Bank, the CAFA Database, the CAFA Art Museum Database, and related data, documentation, and filing institutions and platforms. Regarding their use in CAFA and dissemination on the internet, I agree to make use of these rights according to the stated Rules.

CAFA Art Museum Event Safety Disclaimer

Article I

This event was organized on the principles of fairness, impartiality, and voluntary participation and withdrawal. Participants undertake all risk and liability for themselves. All events have risks, and participants must be aware of the risks related to their chosen event.

Article II

Event participants must abide by the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China, as well as moral and ethical norms. All participants must demonstrate good character, respect for others, friendship, and a willingness to help others.

If an event causes any degree of loss or damage to the museum site, space, artworks, or derived products due to an individual, persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for losses. The event participant must negotiate and provide compensation according to the relevant legal statutes and museum rules. The museum may sue for legal and financial liability.

Article VI

Event participants will participate in the event under the guidance of museum staff and event leaders or instructors and must correctly use the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities provided for the event. If a participant causes injury or harm to him/herself or others while using the painting tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, or causes the damage or destruction of the tools, materials, equipment, and/or facilities, the event participant must undertake all related liability and provide compensation for the financial losses. Persons not involved in the accident and the museum do not undertake any liability for personal accidents.

CAFA Art Museum Portraiture Rights Licensing Agreement

According to The Advertising Law of the People’s Republic of China, The General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and The Provisional Opinions of the Supreme People’s Court on Some Issues Related to the Full Implementation of the General Principles of the Civil Law of the People’s Republic of China, and upon friendly negotiation, Party A and Party B have arrived at the following agreement regarding the use of works bearing Party A’s image in order to clarify the rights and obligations of the portrait licenser (Party A) and the user (Party B):

I. General Provisions

(1) Party A is the portraiture rights holder in this agreement. Party A voluntarily licenses its portraiture rights to Party B for the purposes stipulated in this agreement and permitted by law.

(2) Party B (CAFA Art Museum) is a specialized, international modern art museum. CAFA Art Museum keeps pace with the times, and works to create an open, free, and academic space and atmosphere for positive interaction with groups, corporations, institutions, artists, and visitors. With CAFA’s academic research as a foundation, the museum plans multi-disciplinary exhibitions, conferences, and public education events with participants from around the world, providing a platform for exchange, learning, and exhibition for CAFA’s students and instructors, artists from around the world, and the general public. As a public institution, the primary purposes of CAFA Art Museum’s public education events are academic and beneficial to society.

(3) Party B will photograph all CAFA Public Education Department events for Party A.

II. Content, Forms of Use, and Geographical Scope of Use

(1) Content. The content of images taken by Party B bearing Party A’s likeness include: ① CAFA Art Museum ② CAFA campus ③ All events planned or executed by the CAFAM Public Education Department.

(2) Forms of Use. For use in CAFA’s publications, products with CDs, and promotional materials.

(3) Geographical Scope of Use

The applicable geographic scope is global.

The media in which the portraiture may be used encompasses any media that does not infringe upon Party A’s portraiture rights (e.g., magazines and the internet).

III. Term of Portraiture Rights Use

Use in perpetuity.

IV. Licensing Fees

The fees for images bearing Party A’s likeness will be undertaken by Party B.

After completion, Party B does not need to pay any fees to Party A for images bearing Party A’s likeness.

Additional Terms

(1) All matters not discussed in this agreement shall be resolved through friendly negotiation between both parties. Both parties may then sign a supplementary agreement, provided it does not violate any laws or regulations.

(2) This agreement comes into effect on the date that it is signed (sealed) and the relevant boxes are selected by Party A and Party B.

(3) This agreement exists in paper and electronic forms. The paper form is made in duplicate, with Party A and Party B each retaining one copy with the same legal efficacy.

Event participants implicitly accept and undertake all the obligations stated in this agreement. Those who do not consent will be seen as abandoning the right to participate in this event. Before participating in this event, please speak to your family members to obtain their consent and inform them of this disclaimer. After participants sign/check the required box, participants and their families will be seen as having read and agreed to these terms.
