The year 2021 is the 120th birthday of renowned Chinese sculptor, former director of CAFA Department of Sculpture and professor Hua Tianyou. To commemorate his special contribution to the creation and education of modern sculpture in China, as well as to study his art and life, CAFA is to hold the exhibition "Forget it Not: Exhibition of Hua Tianyou in Commemoration of his 120th Birthday" from Nov 24 to Dec 26 in 2021.

"Forget it Not (勿失毋忘)" is the title written on the cover of one of Hua Tianyou's diaries. He did a special, eye-catching design on the four characters. In the diary it writes Hua's notes and thoughts on the "Six Mothods" of art that particularly impressed him. The exhibition's curator, professor Cao Qinghui believes that "Forget it Not" on the one hand shows the significance of CAFA studying Hua Tianyou's art in the contemporary era, one the one hand, it reminds us to pay attention to and think about what Mr. Hua Tianyou didn't want to forget.
